Not So Full Moon New Releases

Okay, so we're no where near the full moon but you lovelies still new some new releases.

When He's Dark by Suzanna Wright

book cover of When He\'s DarkCat shifter Bree Dwyer doesn't fear much. Ironically, what she fears most is the person who was put on the Earth just for her. Your true mate wasn't supposed to be cruel and twisted; wasn't supposed to be someone who’d never love or want to claim you. The rumors that her true mate is dead bring her only relief. Bree's intent on moving forward with her life and building a future with someone else. Sadly, the male she wants most is one she can never have—a hot-as-sin wolverine shifter who happens to be her boss … and the cousin of her predestined mate.

Aleksandr “Alex” Devereaux detests being bullshitted, but he’s been lying to himself for years—pretending he thinks of Bree as extended family; that he doesn't want her so bad he aches with it; that he can't feel himself weakening against her pull. The night they spend together changes everything. He's done fighting himself on what he wants. Someone isn't happy about that. Possibly the same 'someone' who's playing mind games with Bree, trying to scare her. They're succeeding, because too many leads point to the possibility that the culprit could be the one person that she's determined to believe is dead.

Released April 7th.

The Secrets of Shadows by Tabetha Waite

Book cover for The Secrets of Shadows by Tabetha WaiteDavien Elswood, the Duke of Blackburn, isn’t an ordinary man. Twenty years ago he was cursed with the powers of an aswang, and now he’s forced to fight the beast within. But is it only metaphorical, or in truth? He is a member of the Order of the Friars of St. Francis, a cult where men of high standing perform any number of rituals. Because of these scandalous proceedings, they must protect the truth at all costs—even if it means sacrificing one of their own.

Cosette du Bouir is a poor, French orphan who spends her nights toiling as a seamstress in London while calling a dilapidated workhouse home. The only key to her past is a plain, silver locket with the cryptic inscription—To Mine … Be Mine. One fateful evening she meets the duke. He’s fearsome and intimidating, and she prays that she never sees him again. However, this encounter sparks the return of her mysterious blackouts, where a phantom voice calls out to her.

Thrown together in the midst of magic and secrets, their paths intersect amid desire and chaos, until it all comes to a dramatic end. But who will be crowned the victor of this miserable fate?

Released April 15th from Soul Mate Publishing

The Rising Queen Discovery in Water (The Elemental Chronicles Book 3) by Gina Manis

Now that Celine has all her elements, it is time for her to rise up. Her throne is within her grasp, and she will take it. She will leave the shadows and step out to learn her powers so that she can nourish the waters for their crops to grow and develop a healing touch to restore her people.

Brier, Lindon, and Tate join with Celine again; only this time, they are joined with the newest element Lee. Only Lee and Brier have a dark past, and all of them will not travel to the Clearwater Kingdom together.

Another Element has joined them, as well. Jacob is undecided where, exactly, he fits. He doesn’t see Celine as the others do, but the more time he spends with her, who she is becomes clear. The feelings that spark between them are real as they begin to see the truth in one another. A truth that leads them into love.

Jacob is there to teach Celine how to use her powers. As her powers grow, their waters start to flow as one. The attraction, the connection it shows them, allows passions to rain down on them, forming a bond that surprises Jacob and Celine both.

The sacrifice is starting to call to Celine. With each element she bonds with, it calls out for another. Lindon is in the shadows, waiting for his bond. Something has been them holding back. But every time they touch, they feel the pull and it is consuming. Pain and the need for comfort draw them together, but they can’t stop with just one touch.

Because the sacrifice was now calling for fulfillment. It wanted all its Elements joined. And a child is on the horizon.

Releasing April 28th.

Recently I finished up a short story surrounding Sydny and Liam! These lovelies are the attendants to Meredith and Malcolm. They're also full of surprises. The Silver Moon was so much fun to write and I loved getting a look at the Star Crossed universe after the wedding in the final book, Knot in Destiny.

While the Star Crossed series focuses on Meredith and Malcolm, The Silver Moon is a short story looking in a new direction. Sydny made her first appearance in Witching Hour Madness and Liam was a late comer, showing up only a few pages from the end of the last book. Both are perfect matches for their jobs and each other, even if one of them doesn't see it that way.

The veil is thinning, but ghosts aren't the only things running through the city.

Follow Sydny and Liam as they chase down their charges who raced off to play with fairies under the full moon.

Love, magic and a little bit of panic are the best treats on Halloween!

There are two ways to get a copy of The Silver Moon. You can sign up for my newsletter and get a FREE copy or you can click over to SmashWords and buy it for just .99 cents by clicking HERE.

If you'd like a free copy be assured that I won't spam your email. At the most I send out a newsletter once a month with information about new releases, sales and other events. You can signup using the form below.

Extra Sexy Snippets (Saving Grace Saga)

Here's your early Valentine's gift from me! Enjoy some sexy snippets from the Saving Grace Saga.

Witch Hunt
Splashing into the river, Rei felt the icy water close around her feet and legs, threatening to pull her downstream, and with each struggling step, she felt a new round of sharp, frozen needles. She felt the Hunt breathing down her neck as she launched herself up the slippery bank. The trek across the river had left Rei’s feet and legs half frozen, but she paid them little notice as she kept running onward. Oddly enough, Rei could have sworn she caught a glimpse of something running alongside her on the other side of the brush, but it was too physical to be the Wild Hunt. What is that? She quickly banished the question from her mind and focused her mind on the path she was being herded down.

Then suddenly a wolf jumped from the brush to stand in Rei’s path. Barely seeing the animal in time, Rei came to a stumbling halt. Her numb feet slid, and she ended up in a crouching pose only a few feet from the gray wolf. Fear flooded through her mind, and then, before her astonished eyes, the wolf stood and rippled. Standing over her was now a man bathed in moonlight. Rei’s eyes drifted up over the tanned flesh to look into his eyes, and then before any thoughts beyond shock could form, she was struck violently from behind.

Fox Hunt
Nudging his shoulder with her own, Dilly confidently said, “We’re gonna get it this time.” The level started over, and both Dilly and Mike were completely lost in it. Waving her hands about as she raced the game, Dilly didn’t even realize her shoulder was still pressed to Mike’s. When Dilly’s game character blew up into a large bubble after smacking a wall of thorns, Dilly let out an aggravated growl, dropped her controller into her lap, and turned to encourage the man sitting next to her. “Come on, Mike. You can get it.”
Cheering him on as he raced through the last part of the level, Dilly tensed up in anticipation. A rush of triumph filled her as the little character jumped at the crystal and smashed it. Throwing her hands up, Dilly screamed, “You did it!”
“Heck, yeah,” Mike said, dropping his controller. Before he could say anything else, Dilly found herself wrapping her arms around his neck and kissing him. It was rushed, and Dilly quickly pulled back with a big smile on her face, which disappeared when she realized what she’d done. She’d been so happy about beating that stupid level, she’d made a move on Mike.
Mike, the strange male wolf who had wondered into town looking for his mate. Mike, the guy Dilly had tried to convince to leave her alone. Mike, the man who sat beside her with a big Cheshire cat grin on his face.

Fire Hunt

In two quick steps Julia was in front of him. The back of her hand made contact with the side of his face causing his head to jerk and sending an echo through the small room. Ignoring the stinging pain shooting down her fingers, she leaned in close. “This isn’t a singles party, Strigoi. You’re in some serous shit here.”
Edmund shook the hair from his face again and glared up at her with seething blue eyes. The change in eye color was a telltale sign that he was finally really angry, and Julia had to fight back a victorious grin. His tongue swiped out to catch a swell of blood at the corner of his mouth. “Have I upset you, Detective?”
Leaning in further, Julia almost brushed her cheek against his and whispered, “I’ll see you tonight.”
As she pulled away, he pressed his lips to her cheek, no doubt leaving behind a bloody kiss mark. Just before she slapped him again she saw his grin.
She abruptly turned and headed for the door without looking back. Her hand was reaching for the knob when she heard Edmund say, “I’ll be looking forward to it, babe.”

That's all for now, but I'll be back!

Charmed Souls by Abbi Glines

Charmed Souls FOR WEB
They say blood is thicker than water, but I was never proud of mine. A female born into the Kamlock bloodline was destined to possess three things they couldn’t change—a crazy as hell mother, an unfair amount of beauty, and a Charmed soul that was as black as night.

All a Kamlock woman ever desired in life was to use her beauty to destroy wealthy men and take their riches. A century had passed since a generation of Kamlock sisters had been anything other than gold diggers.

All I ever wanted was to be free of them. I knew I couldn’t change my cursed birth, but I could change its legacy. I had a job, I had friends, and I was slowly gaining my independence.
Until Rathe Scott crashed into my life and tore it apart.

He made me feel what I had spent my entire life never wanting to feel. He brought out a darkness I’d not known was inside me. And just when I thought I was becoming everything I had sworn I would never become…

He was gone.

Character Chit-Chat with Meredith Blackburn

It's been too long since we've had a character chit-chat and I know just the character, Meredith Blackburn. We're interrupting her just before Witching Hour Madness. There's a big event going on in the magical community. It's Halloween and there's a Samhain Ball being held by the upper crust. It's an important night. Let's find out why...

So, Meredith, what's going on tonight?

Meredith: The Samhain Ball is happening. It's one of the more important events within the magical society. Tonight we'll lock ourselves away until morning to show our support of our treaties swearing to let those who have passed be free of our influence.

You mean people who have died? Why is this so important?

Meredith: Yes. The veil that separates the world of the living and world of the dead is thinnest tonight and travel between the two is easier and more common on this night. Magic users could bond with the dead and trap them, but it's very wrong. We lock ourselves away to allow the spirits to move freely without that worry.

Okay. That makes since. What else is going on with this Ball?

Meredith: Well, like any large event there are always behind the door deals. Marriage agreements, business contracts and even loan repayments have been known to take place. This year is also the first year the Oasis group is hosting the ball. It's bound to be a treat as they've been petitioning to host for over a  decade.

Alright, on to the gossip. Are you taking a date tonight?

Meredith: Malcolm Blackwood is joining me tonight. It'll be our first venture out into society as an official couple. I'm not sure what to expect from the other families and organizations, but it's well passed time to care.

That's right and where is Malcolm? Getting ready?

Meredith: That is a good damned question and it brings us to the end of this interview. I have some hunting to do.

And with that Meredith Blackburn set off in search of her wayward lover, leaving this writing sitting alone with a notepad and pen.

What to find out what happens? Read Witching Hour Madness and find out.

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07SH133LL

The Witching Hour is upon them, and Meredith Blackburn finds herself navigating family politics and community gossip. When the doors lock down, so does her magic, and she starts to wonder about the foreboding feeling that has been tickling her neck all night.

With Meredith at his side, Malcolm Blackwood is ready to face the elite magic community he once ran away from. Asked to help track down a missing magical threat, he finds something more frightening than the golden ring in his pocket.

Can they stop an ancient threat? Or will the magic users be consumed?

Full Moon New Releases (Sept. 2019)

It's time for our full moon new releases! This time it falls on a Friday the 13th! How perfect. Best of luck finding an awesome new book.

Darklight by Bella Forrest

Image result for Darklight by Bella Forrest"Vampires don’t exist. At least, not anymore..."

I celebrated when vampires were declared extinct.

Those beasts had preyed on humanity for millennia, committing senseless, brutal murders. Like the rest of my colleagues at the Occult Bureau, I looked forward to a world where we could all sleep at night—where constant cover-up jobs were no longer required to keep the public calm and unaware.

But the end of vampires wasn’t the end of our problems. It was only the beginning.

Other blood-sucking creatures began to lurk in the night. As soon as I turned twenty-one, I became a ground agent at the Bureau because I wanted—no, needed—to join the fight.

And then Dorian Clave burst into my life—turning everything I thought I knew into quicksand. Vampires like him were killers who devoured humanity’s inner darkness until shadows danced beneath their skin. Yet there was more to him than that.

He showed me that light cannot exist without the dark, and that trying to fight this balance would have consequences our human minds couldn’t even comprehend.

Because sometimes darkness needs to exist.

Image result for The Water Princess Claiming of Earth by Gina Manis For the last five years, I have been held captive by my sister, the Queen of Watergate. She cursed and bound my waters powers and turning me into a hideous hag.

Locked behind the walls of a convent in the holy lands kept me safe, but they also kept me from living. That is until I give myself in a sacrifice to the Elemental Powers. They send me three strong men in which I have to form a bond.

Tate, my earth element, was a childhood friend that I had fallen in love with. Seeing Tate again, my heart aches to be close to him, and I can’t control these new desires.

Lindon, my wind element, who is charming and seductive. We will discover our powers together as he is just learning his. That is if we can keep our hands off one another long enough.

Brier, my water element, the commander, is a force I feel stronger than the others. He has suffered the same as me, and it has broken his powers. I have to figure out a way to put him together again for what we must do.

They have freed me, but I am not safe until I am out of this realm. Ogres who want my blood because they are drawn to it by the curse are after us. The one I call Brown is the most dangerous of them all. I fear him the most, but I cannot let that stop me.

I want to live again, and I have made my sacrifice to do so. My promise to the Elementals has to be fulfilled, or else I will never get my water element back. The bond between each of us will strengthen the powers of the elements and give them new life.

Or else the Fire Elements will win. Their element has become too powerful, and they are claiming the earth in which we live. I intend to claim it again.

However, first, I have to find my balance with these three men and make it out of this realm…alive.

MidWeek Tease: Chasing High Noon: Let's Meet Mom!

I'm back and I've got a MidWeekTease for everyone. A little late (had internet connections issues) but it's here!

For your pleasure, a snippet from the latest story in the Star Crossed Series, Chasing High Noon. Let's see how Malcolm meets Meredith's mom! Enjoy and make sure to hop over to the other great blogs.

Snippet:

The first one Malcolm recognized was Meredith’s mom, Beverly Blackburn. The woman was dressed in a flowy, navy blue pant suit and giving him a murderous look. Behind her stood two others, an older woman and a rather bored-looking man.
“Ms. Blackburn, it’s good to see you again,” Malcolm said before opening the door a little wider. He wished he could give Meredith more warning about her mother being there, but standing there in nothing but a pair of sleep pants he knew that was the best she was going to get.
****
Shock struck Meredith like a ton of bricks when she heard Malcolm greet the person at the door. To her credit, she managed not to spew her mouthful of coffee, but her mind quickly started ticking off all the reasons she didn't need her mother barging in. One, it was still pretty early, and two, she had been told everyone was too busy to help with the Lunar Shadow ritual prep work.
If they were too busy to help, they should be too busy to check up on her. There was already a meeting set up that afternoon. Her mother could have and would normally have waited until then to see her.
Collecting herself, Meredith sat her coffee down and walked over to the door. She watched Malcolm give her a thoughtful glance and pull the door open to let her mom enter. He was reason number three. Standing shirtless in her living room, he was more than welcome. In fact, she loved having him there, particularly half-naked. Her mother, on the other hand, would have a different opinion.

That's your tease for this week! You can find out more about Chasing High Noon or buy a copy on Amazon. It and the other Star Crossed books are available in both print and digital.
