Extra Sexy Snippets (Saving Grace Saga)

Here's your early Valentine's gift from me! Enjoy some sexy snippets from the Saving Grace Saga.

Witch Hunt
Splashing into the river, Rei felt the icy water close around her feet and legs, threatening to pull her downstream, and with each struggling step, she felt a new round of sharp, frozen needles. She felt the Hunt breathing down her neck as she launched herself up the slippery bank. The trek across the river had left Rei’s feet and legs half frozen, but she paid them little notice as she kept running onward. Oddly enough, Rei could have sworn she caught a glimpse of something running alongside her on the other side of the brush, but it was too physical to be the Wild Hunt. What is that? She quickly banished the question from her mind and focused her mind on the path she was being herded down.

Then suddenly a wolf jumped from the brush to stand in Rei’s path. Barely seeing the animal in time, Rei came to a stumbling halt. Her numb feet slid, and she ended up in a crouching pose only a few feet from the gray wolf. Fear flooded through her mind, and then, before her astonished eyes, the wolf stood and rippled. Standing over her was now a man bathed in moonlight. Rei’s eyes drifted up over the tanned flesh to look into his eyes, and then before any thoughts beyond shock could form, she was struck violently from behind.

Fox Hunt
Nudging his shoulder with her own, Dilly confidently said, “We’re gonna get it this time.” The level started over, and both Dilly and Mike were completely lost in it. Waving her hands about as she raced the game, Dilly didn’t even realize her shoulder was still pressed to Mike’s. When Dilly’s game character blew up into a large bubble after smacking a wall of thorns, Dilly let out an aggravated growl, dropped her controller into her lap, and turned to encourage the man sitting next to her. “Come on, Mike. You can get it.”
Cheering him on as he raced through the last part of the level, Dilly tensed up in anticipation. A rush of triumph filled her as the little character jumped at the crystal and smashed it. Throwing her hands up, Dilly screamed, “You did it!”
“Heck, yeah,” Mike said, dropping his controller. Before he could say anything else, Dilly found herself wrapping her arms around his neck and kissing him. It was rushed, and Dilly quickly pulled back with a big smile on her face, which disappeared when she realized what she’d done. She’d been so happy about beating that stupid level, she’d made a move on Mike.
Mike, the strange male wolf who had wondered into town looking for his mate. Mike, the guy Dilly had tried to convince to leave her alone. Mike, the man who sat beside her with a big Cheshire cat grin on his face.

Fire Hunt

In two quick steps Julia was in front of him. The back of her hand made contact with the side of his face causing his head to jerk and sending an echo through the small room. Ignoring the stinging pain shooting down her fingers, she leaned in close. “This isn’t a singles party, Strigoi. You’re in some serous shit here.”
Edmund shook the hair from his face again and glared up at her with seething blue eyes. The change in eye color was a telltale sign that he was finally really angry, and Julia had to fight back a victorious grin. His tongue swiped out to catch a swell of blood at the corner of his mouth. “Have I upset you, Detective?”
Leaning in further, Julia almost brushed her cheek against his and whispered, “I’ll see you tonight.”
As she pulled away, he pressed his lips to her cheek, no doubt leaving behind a bloody kiss mark. Just before she slapped him again she saw his grin.
She abruptly turned and headed for the door without looking back. Her hand was reaching for the knob when she heard Edmund say, “I’ll be looking forward to it, babe.”

That's all for now, but I'll be back!

My Sexy Saturday: Are You Sexy?

Time for another #MySexySaturday post. As you know these posts are 7 words, 7 sentences or 7 paragraphs snippets from stories and this weeks theme is Are You Sexy? I've chosen a bit from my first published novel, Witch Hunt. In this snippet you see Aidan's reaction the first time he sees Rei.

Once you've read this little snippet make sure to hop on over to some of the other great blogs for more snippets.

Witch hunt Snippet:

When he saw her standing down there with her pale skin glowing in the firelight, he had decided to settle in and watch for a while before interrupting. She was a rare creature of beauty standing boldly in nothing but the gifts nature had given her. She looked like a golden goddess praying to the stars. Staring down from a low-lying ridge, Aidan, in his shape as a large gray wolf, watched her stretch up from her toes all the way to her fingertips. He lay on his stomach, front paws folded under his muzzle. Her short dark hair drifted lazily in the cool breeze. The firelight caught teasing hints of scarlet highlights in her hair, creating a glowing halo around her face. He was just starting to admire her full, perky breasts and lovely flat stomach when a surge of energy shot through his body like a shock.

My Sexy Saturday : One Sexy Night

Sorry it's late. Power issues this morning.  With no further delay here is my One Sexy Night post.

It's time for another My Sexy Saturday peek. This week the theme was One Sexy Night and I think I have just the peek to how you, my loyal readers. This is taken from a short story about two magical families. Our leading lady has just been branded with a magical symbol meant to give her enough magic to survive. Our leading hero has one last thing to do before the symbol will work properly.

Make sure to click through the links at the end of the post to find more great peeks into sexy romance stories!

Just Beyond Daybreak:

She nodded and answered, “Fine.” Slowly Meredith turned her head to catch a glance at the brand on her shoulder. She could just make out the upper crust of a circle. Moving her eyes up to look at Malcolm, Meredith wondered when she was supposed to get this extra magic and if she would even feel its arrival. “So it’s working?”

Malcolm looked up from a cloth he was using to wipe the chopstick. “Almost,” he said, sitting the silver stick down. “Just one more thing to do.”

“Well, what’s that?” Meredith asked, turning her head back around. She was contemplating pulling her shirt back up, when she was surprised by his hand taking hold of her unbranded shoulder and pulling her backwards. Meredith fell back and a sharp pain ran through her as his free hand caught the brand. He moved the other hand to cup her chin and tilt her head back. Then he was kissing her. For an instant it felt like Malcolm was stealing her very soul through his lips and she didn’t care. She found herself kissing him back.

She watched his half-closed eyes from the odd sideways, almost upside down, angle. This was not a gentle, innocent kiss. This was a lust provoking tease of lips and tongue. The feel of his palm pressed against the raw brand on her shoulder was scorching, but Meredith could not call it pain. A tingle of magic seemed to pass from his hand into her as their lips devoured each other.

Realization that this was the connection Malcolm needed to link his power to hers set in, and some of the passion that had flared to life died away. As his lips slowly pulled away from her own, Meredith tried to mask her emotions. She fought back the urge to lean forward for another kiss as she watched the tip of his tongue swipe over his top lip. “So, now it’s working?” Meredith asked, forcing herself to maintain eye contact with him.

For just the briefest of seconds Malcolm’s composure was lost and she thought she could see disappointment drift through those blue hues. In a blink it was gone, and Malcolm was back to his smug, confident self.  Helping her sit back up, he said, “This should give you enough to keep going for a little while. If you don’t use too much you should have a few days, but if something happens you can defend yourself for a few minutes. If need be I can give you more, but it’ll be a more physical connection.”

“How close of a physical connection are we talking about?” Meredith asked, straightening her shirt over her shoulders.

That's it for this week. Hope you enjoyed this short scene between Meredith and Malcolm. Remember to check out the other great authors and their short scenes!
