For my first full moon spot light I'm going to list a few of the great giveaways romance readers can find at two of the better known book lovers sites, GoodReads and LibraryThing. These giveaways are set up not just to offer you a great read, but also to promote the novels. So after giving the book a read make sure to leave an honest review for other readers.
LibraryThing Giveaways:
The first giveaway that caught my eyes was Secret Alpha Wolf: Raze by Alexis Krieg. For you chance to get a copy you must request it before July 28th.
Secret Alpha Wolf: Raze blurb
"Ember Bridger hates being a werewolf. She killed her foster parents when
she was thirteen, during her first true change. Nine years later, she
works at the Riverside Modeling Agency in Colorado, intent on becoming
an agent herself and capturing the beauty of the human form. But there
is one truth Ember cannot seem to escape, no matter how deeply she
buries herself in her work: She is not human. And she is reminded of
that every full moon.
When she happens upon Raze, a male
werewolf wounded in a vicious attack from his own pack, Ember is pitched
headlong back into her identity crisis. She takes Raze in and nurses
him back to health. He discovers her dilemma and sets out to convince
her to embrace her inner wolf. Raze quickly becomes dear to her heart.
But is she dear enough to him to be her human model in the career
changing challenge established by her boss?"
The second book that caught my eye was A Tale of Two Djinn by Mina Khan. Request your copy before Aug 10th. This great read won the 2013 Reader's Crown for Best Paranormal Romance.
A Tale of Two Djinn blurb
"Akshay,
warrior prince of the earth djinns, earns the title of Crown Prince at a
high cost when he loses his best friend in a battle against ancient
enemies, the water djinns. Heartsick, he escapes to Earth to mourn.
Nothing
gets the biological clock ticking (and elders lecturing) like almost
dying in battle, so Maya, princess of the water djinns, travels to Earth
for some no-strings-attached sex to fulfill her duty and produce an
heir. But the beautiful and tough warrior gets more than she bargained
for when she meets Shay.
Their not-so-simple one-night stand is
interrupted by assassins and the world, as they know it, is changed
forever. As Maya and Shay pull together to survive, both are determined
to have their happily-ever-after and bring peace to their worlds —
warring families, shadow assassins, and nosy busybodies be damned."
GoodReads Giveaways:
First on our GoodReads giveaway list is Angel Fever by L.A. Weatherly. This giveaway is open from Jul 22nd until Aug 22nd.
Angel Fever blurb
"In the devastated
remains of the world, millions of people live in "refugee" camps
provided by the angels who have all but enslaved humanity. As this
angelic stranglehold tightens, Willow and Alex are recruiting and
training new Angel Killers while struggling to hold ground on the
celestial battlefield. But Willow continues to have feelings for Seb,
and her love and resolve are tested as a shattering revelation sends
Alex on a separate journey. Now that the final battle versus the angels
is about to begin-and the fate of the world hangs in the balance-each of
them must face the consequences of their own choices. Will love endure?
Will the human race survive?"
Another great giveaway is The Daemon Whisperer by Candice Bundy. This giveaway is open from July 16th until Aug 15th.
The Daemon Whisperer blur
"Meriwether Storm
discovered the grisly remains of her parents when she was only
fourteen—the result of a failed daemon summoning. Meri immediately swore
vengeance on the daemon who'd killed her parents, but there was only
one problem: she had no idea which one had committed the atrocity.
Before their untimely deaths, her parents trained her intensively in the
arts, which Meri used to follow in their footsteps, ever seeking the
daemon's name. Now, despite her years of searching, she's no closer to
the truth and her time is running out.
When a mysterious daemon
named Azimuth offers Meri a deadly summoning in exchange for information
about her parents’ murderer, she takes it immediately and without
intimidation. What does worry her is her attraction to Azimuth: when he
touches Meri, her pulse races and she breathlessly awaits the feel of
his lips upon her skin. Meri knows she should keep him at arm's length,
but her traitorous thoughts obsess over him night and day."
Friendly Reminder: These are romance novels and material in these books may not be suitable for those under 18.

Settling In
Country Drive |
A few months ago my family moved into a new house. I love the drive to the house. Even though we moved into town we have a house set back that still has that country feel. Its great! Trash pickup with privacy.
The move came on suddenly and in the middle of it all I was busy editing and releasing my novel, Witch Hunt. I also had to put off a personal project, West Lakes, to get everything in order. Moving is tough, as I'm sure everyone knows. my real problem is getting back into the swing of things.
I still have a few boxes that are packed up and stuffed away in closets or the corner of my mini library. (aka a tall book shelf next to my bed) I doubt those are going to be unpacked anytime soon. My daughter's room is finally all put together though. She even has her own book shelf now! The rest of the set up and settling in is finished too.
Getting back into the swing of writing is a little hard though. I am even pretty far behind in my CampNaNoWriMo word count. Normally I pour myself into the challenge, but this time I find myself stuck with serious writers block. I've poured over old ideas. Tried taking a few days away from it. I even tried just writing something completely new. It's not working too well. I've also found that West Lakes is suffering. My July release hasn't been coming along at all. I just don't feel the spark yet.
A new house is wonderful. Settling in is fun, but it will disrupt your routine. Because of the move I was unable to plant a garden this year, but I think I may take up a few landscaping projects until the creative flow returns.
Peace and love my few readers and good dreams.

Hump Day Fall Back
Hump Day, the day which falls in the middle of the week, Wednesday. It's a day I dread during the morning, but come evening time I'm content to say the week is half way through. It is also the day during the week that I use to do a mass clearing. The notebooks are pulled out and random word programs are open on my computer. The chaos is rather enjoyable.
I'm a messy writer and the only way I can keep story lines, characters and all the stray scenes together is to write them down. What happens when I write them down? Those papers are stacked in random spots of my work area (aka any clear spot in the house). So every Wednesday I go through my home and collect all of the fiction I can find.
Neat little stacks soon start to appear on the kitchen table. Seeing as how I work on more than a few stories at the same time there are several thick stacks and lots of short stacks. In the end I grab up the stack that involves the story I'm working on at the time and get back to writing.
What happens to the other stacks? True to my chaos loving nature they are redistributed throughout the house as I move them around, reading over the ideas I had. I know next Wednesday I'll pull them back out along with any new thoughts I'd wrote down.
And now to get the sorting started!

Ready... Steady... Write!
Today is the start of the July CampNaNoWriMo. I've started today in the hopes of finishing up Raven's Tale in the first few days and then I'm planning on focusing on a new romance novel the rest of the month.
I wrote Witch Hunt in the first NaNoWriMo I participated in, and I'm hoping that this year I can get a large chuck of another finished. I try to take part in either the November challenge or one of the camps every year, and while I don't always make even half my goal, I do find it is a great way to get the ideas flowing.
To all the writers who are joining me this year: Good luck!
And to all the readers ready for some new great stories: Wish us luck!
